About the RoleSt Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and reliable Tuckshop Assistant to join our Food Services team. Working across the Senior School Café and Upper Primary Tuckshop, you will assist with food preparation, customer service, catering support, and daily operations to ensure an efficient and high-quality service. This permanent term-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, values excellent customer service, and takes pride in maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and assemble food and beverages in accordance with menu requirements and food safety standards.Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and visitors.Process cash, EFTPOS, and online orders accurately through the point-of-sale system.Assist with stock receipting, rotation, replenishment, and inventory control activities.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across food preparation, service, and dining areas.Support the Food Services team during busy service periods while adhering to College policies and procedures.What You BringDemonstrated knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, safe food handling practices, food hygiene requirements, and the use of PPE.Previous experience in a food service, catering, hospitality, tuckshop, café, or similar customer-facing food environment (preferred).Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe food handling procedures.Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with students, staff, and visitors.Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks during busy service periods.Demonstrated ability to use initiative and maintain professional presentation standards.Physical capacity to undertake the requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks.Current Blue Card (or the ability to obtain and maintain one) and the right to work in Australia.Commitment to the College's Christian ethos and values.About UsSt Peters Lutheran College is a Co-Educational Day and Boarding School of the Lutheran Church located on 52 acres just 7 kilometres from Brisbane CBD. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble food and beverages in accordance with menu requirements and food safety standards.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

What You Bring
